    First Project - Daccordi Mitico

Hi, I would keep it simple as BBs are relatively low cost items and just buy which ever level of Campag external BB you prefer - I think I bought Record as they are not that much more expensive than Veloce. I don't think Shimano BBs will work with the Campag chainset - I presume you will be...

    Daccordi Turbo Project

Daccordi Mitico on Ebay I'm sure you have already spotted this, but here is the spit of my Daccordi Mitico F&F on Ebay....albeit in the US and Oversize whereas mine is whatever the opposite of oversize is. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Daccordi-Ital ... 4d017d5473 a chance to ride some of...

Looks like it will have to be an online club. Please repeat the oath below in the privacy of your our own home and you shall be considered a bonafide member of the Daccordi Online Owners club (UK division). "I promise to henceforth promote all things Daccordi to the world in general so...

Ah there it is.....! Lovely bike Gracie and loving the handlebar tape.....! Watch those downtube cable stops, one of mine broke (adjuster sheared off inside the body) so I am buying shimano ones which are alloy...is that sacrilege? I'm all for starting a Daccordi club....!

    Daccordi Turbo Project

Well done so far Gracie! I love the excitement of waiting for bits arriving through the post....it's a better feeling than Christmas. Unfortunately my Daccordi is out of action as one of the downtube cable stops broke.....cheap Campag rubbish! Going to get some shimano ones which apparently work...

Certainly looks 90's but couldn't really guess more than that. Is the fluted top tube perhaps Gilco tubing?

Which Daccordi are you getting? I'm very happy with modern kit on a vintage frame - works really well.

    First Project - Daccordi Mitico

Well, finally managed to get a couple of good rides in - a 20 and a 40 miler.....the first question that comes to mind is: What is the point of Carbon Fibre exactly?!? Now as I mentioned I have an Alu/Carbon Colnago....not a high end Colnago but a nice ride, but this Daccordi is noticeably...

Hi Pondlife, yes saw that in Cycling Plus....£1400 just for the frame and probably not even Columbus EL! Hopefully I can get a longer ride this weekend but so far it seems almost more sprightly than my modern colnago and may even be lighter!

Thanks Mark. Stem is Zenith quill stem from Velo Solo and bars are Deda Speciale which are from Parkers and meant to be for small hands and lowdrop both of which suit me....and nice and cheap ;-)

Yes, Charge Spoon....very comfy and quite cheap. Paintwork is really nice with a sort of lace effect...there are some scratches but you would never get that effect without spending a lot of money and you don't really notice them with the bike built up.

I'll try and do the maths this evening and let you know.....probably round £1k but you never know!

    First Project - Daccordi Mitico

Finished! Finally finished this build, installing the rear derailleur, the chain and wrapping the bars. Actually wrapping the bars wasn't as hard as I thought, the only problem is the finishing electrical tape which I have had problems getting really smooth round the bars....need some more...

    First Project - Daccordi Mitico

Nearly there! Hi Miro, Sorry been a bit lazy with this one as Christmas and other financial needs got in the way. I was not hurrying as I have no plans to ride until the weather is better. I literally just need to buy the rear derailleur and the chain and fit and then fit the cable and wrap...
