Has 1997 Marzocchi XC/R Forks.
Frame is Alloy (polished)and fully TIG/MIG Welded.
Only has downtube biden mounts - none on seat tube.
Frame Serial is K508 1552 with #33 marked further along the BB
Seatpost is 31.2mm

Got some of the paint off and the head tube is not fillet brazed but a lug with tubes bonded or pressed into it same as the seat lug and bottom bracket. Also found another number stamped in the head tube / lug : M35I...

Hey matt and ishaw.... yep looks very similar to the seat lug on the old giants, but this one is much bigger and roughly cast, and not as smooth or elegant as the giant ones. Driving me nuts trying to work it out.

I don't think the front is fillet brazed ..... looks like a lug under all the paint. Will strip it over the next day or so and see what is underneath. The thing that has me confused is the combo of steel and alloy tubes with that huge cast alloy seat lug??

Hey Team ..... looking for some new brake cartridge insert thingys for my Deore LX Canti's. The ones where you slide the rubber block in and lock it with a small screw. Want to stay with these for no other reason than I like the look of them. Can't seem to find them anywhere.
...... when in doubt, just get a bigger hammer.
Hit em a bit harder this time and presto .....
Now does anyone have a good tip for dissolving the elastomer crud stuck all over the inside of the tubes??
