    Twist grip thoughts/advice

Sorry, it's taken me a while to get back to this as my sister doesn't ride very much!! Thank you all for your suggestions and advice. In the end we seem to have solved her problems by setting the gears up properly (disappointed the shop that sold and serviced it didn't do it properly ☹️ ) and...

Headset bearings for 2005 GT Avalanche

I'm looking for headset bearings to replace those in the Zero Stack system for 1 1/8" - that's according to the spec sheet as I don't know what I'm talking about! I've been trying to work it out but nothing seems to look like what I've got. Has anyone got any suggestions please? As you can see...

    Twist grip thoughts/advice

Good point about the opposable thumb! 🤣 In practice, are there any real differences between the SRAM Gripshift and Shimano Revoshift? .... and why the general preference for SRAM? I had originally thought of sticking to Shimano as per her derailleurs but as they're compatible that's not an...

    Twist grip thoughts/advice

That's brilliant, thank you all for your help. I'll work out in due course whether I'm cultured, a pleb or an idiot! 🤣🤣 Her current shifter is a Shimano EZ Fire Plus with a Tourney mech and she only needs the front triple. Very much low budget to test the water and see how she gets on with...

    Twist grip thoughts/advice

Hello, I'm asking for advice on behalf of my sister who is getting into MTBing and has a basic Forma MTB, triple front and seven (I think) on the rear. She has an old injury to her left thumb and is finding shifting gear quite painful. I've tweaked the set up for her and the bike shifts well -...

    Wanted 26mm clamp quill stem, 50mm - 60mm reach

Sorry, wasn't ignoring you .... I've been waiting for an automatic notification - Doh! Assuming the clamp is 26mm, would you mind taking photos with a ruler alongside for scale please. Roughly speaking, 2.5" is about 65mm so they might work but difficult to say without seeing them. In an ideal...

    Wanted 26mm clamp quill stem, 50mm - 60mm reach

I'm measuring C2C. The 50mm to 60mm range sort of covers whether the stem is a straight out front version or not. Interesting looking thing that - I'm not quite sure what the design is aiming to achieve 🤔

    Wanted 26mm clamp quill stem, 50mm - 60mm reach

I'm after a short reach 1" quill stem, about 50mm to 60mm with a 26mm clamp area to be paired with a set of 3T bars for my winter bike.. No particular preference of make etc. Thank you :)

Looking for a pair of either or both sets of pedals. I don't really mind what they look like as long as they are sound mechanically. Thank you

Are the bars still available please? If so, I'd love to have them - they're exactly what I need to replace ones that have just failed!

Help with sizing the cockpit/suitable bar/stem for my 90s Raleigh...

Hi, I had a similar problem with needing a shorter than standard top tube to get a comfortable reach and bought a frame that, in theory, was way too small for me. I looked at taller stems, such as Nitto (can't remember which one) and this one from Soma - there are others out there but I'm afraid...
