I think it's because they can see the front wheels , and know their on some thing a bit weird. They can see it heading toward the kerb , due to the cambers on the road . And just steer it away . On a delta, it looks a normal bike, looking forward from the saddle .I think the brain keeps...
I don't know, but the wheel was very heavy. I did fit it with a Heavy schawalbe marathon tyre . As it was . A reet PIA to disconnect the brake torque arm, brake cable , hub gear connector and undo the bolts on the axel . The trike would not be a lot heavier than a Delta trike if if was...
I did think of adding my spare trike conversion axel . To my tadpole trike , for a laugh . I was unsure what to call it , I think " bloody useless" would cover it .
David Yates , frame build . Chopped the front end on a tandem and added S&S frame couplers . So it could be a "conventional "Tandem or a tadpole Tandem , by swopping over the front end . File that under useless information .
A Sachs Orbit rear hub was used on my Newton " Tadpole " trike . The hub had a brake drum , 2 speed internal gear and 6 speed Cassette . clever stuff but so heavy it had its own gravitational pull . lol
St Giles Church Chollerton. Building in right hand side of photograph, was a stable / hearse house . Dead handy . Now used as a loverly little free museum.
Traquair Kirk , former Church of Scotland. Now operated by local communitie . Just above Innerleithen in the Borders. Bit wet but still loverly scenery around there.
Some very nice machines , Apart from that bleeding modern Trike . So please no sympathy votes . Its self inflicted wounds . Lol . But honestly It should not be in the votes . Colin
HHolly trinity church Whitfield , near Allendale Northumberland. Has a lovely stone built spire . Not fancy , but look just right in it's setting. IMHO .
