    I recently came across a 1994 Scott Sandoa with Alivio MC10 cranks, and I need to replace the bottom bracket. Is it possible to use a longer axle than the original 110.5 mm? Sheldon Brown states that the size for these cranks can range from 110.5 to 113 mm. What happens if I use a longer axle?
