If you read the original post carefully only one of them is a ceramic rim with the coating on the brake track, it will be a different colour, suspect the other one is a standard open pro.

When you say 55cm is that Centre to centre or centre to top? Can you also provide the top tube measurement centre to centre please:-)

Re: I don't know if you are aware but its likely what you actually have is a bike made by Ron Cooper, I have the same model, slightly later though, built for my dad in 56. At the time I think Ron was the only frame builder working at Gillott and it had been that way for a few years. Lovely...

If I remember correctly they are 6207 with the ug free hub (I do have a nos 6208 for a freewheel in a 28 hole with a nos mavic tubular rim as well) cassette is a 6 speed, from memory it's 12-21. The bike they came off seems to have seen very little riding and was used occasionally for time...

I have some 600 hubs laced to mavic tubular rims complete with tubs and cassette that came of an 87 Peugeot perthus that might be of interest.

When I weighed my perthus frame, 56cm frame only including the headset cups, it came out at 1.6kg, I would guess this would be about 1.3kg.
