    1991 Diamondback Axis

Do you happen to remember the stem and the seatpost size? Could it be that they were 25.4 and 27.2 respectively? Any info is appreciated.

Yet another of our favorite “name this elevated chainstay bike” threads…

Thanks for the ideas, although using a grinding wheel on it or hammering it might not be the direction I’d like to proceed in… yet😂 I tried magnet on it and it did not attract at all. I know titanium is weakly magnetic but it is still more magnetic than aluminum so I thought if only it attracted...

Alright, before I get my hopes up, I got to say (although I’m almost 100% sure it’s aluminum…) that these minute details are quite telling: the cable routers and the dropouts are different from that of a Litespeed…

Amazing, I immediately ruled Litespeed out but hey, I’ll break out a good old magnet and give it a try, see if it attracts!

Thanks a lot, didn’t know about this thread… I do trust you when you say you couldn’t find any clues there… also am a bit exhausted after having gone through all the 63 pages of this German thread I happened to come across trying to google it… 😅 I’m starting to feel that this might not be a...

Yet another of our favorite “name this elevated chainstay bike” threads…

Let me conclude what I managed to find out so far: For obvious reasons I only considered those elevated chainstay bikes that had a similar geometry, ie. where the chainstay is NOT an extension of the downtube (like on a Yeti Ultimate) but where the downtube goes straight all the way to the BB...

Hey markoc, thanks! yes indeed I had the same impression, thinking first that it might be a Nishiki because of that brace but like you said, the downtube on them is bent… And you’re right about the GT too!😂 The whole thing looks pretty much factory to me, which makes me believe it isn’t just a...

Yes, just like the title suggests, I’m out of ideas. So I got this bike and it obviously must have been a big deal. Elevated chainstay frame but quite unlike your average (won’t bore you with unnecessary details just yet but most likely it is NOT a Nishiki or a Yokota or a Cunningham or a...

    Sold 1992 Cannondale M1000 frame

The actual measurement is 37 centimeters that I identified with size 15” based on the available sizes in the 1992 catalog - as there were only 15” or 18”, 20” and 22” sizes of this model. http://vintagecannondale.com/year/1992/1992.pdf Let me know if you think I’m mistaken somewhere.

    Sold 1992 Cannondale M1000 frame

Hello there and thanks for your message. It is measured from the center of the BB to the top of the TOP tube where it meets the seat tube, not the top of the seat tube itself.
