    Tubs for 27inch wheels

Thanks guys for all your help, just to put some flesh on the bones, I'm 77 in next month and when I was about 15/16 I was in Lancaster C C, and needed a new bike. My measurements were sent off to Rattrays of Glasgow and became the proud owner of The Flying Scot frame and set about buying all...

    Tubs for 27inch wheels

Hi thanks for the reply. I have just the one set of wheels, Campag large flange hubs with Fiamme rims from the early 60s but they haven't had tubs on for about thirty years and can't remember what size tubs i used to get I'm trying to build my old 1947 Hobbs frame back up using all my 60s gear...

Newbie with a Hobbs of Barbican

Well what can I say, six years further down the line and not much progress . A lifetime of working in the building trade has caught up with me and I can't see me finishing the build or even getting on it if I do. Therefore the Hobbs has to go, is there a for sale section and could you steer me...

Well hello again, it's only been 5 years since my last post, I'm still alive and so so is the Hobbs although not a tap has been done to it since then. I'm afraid it's been languishing in the shed all this time whilst I was restoring two cars, one of my pride and joys has been sold and I'm now...

Sorry to say no progress, I have had to move my workshop to a new unit and the Hobbs is out of reach at the mo untill I get sorted. Don't think anything will hapen before the new year but as soon as it does I will start a build thread.

On a tip! oh my god, this links nicley to the post about all those classic bikes turning up at the scrap yard, I shudder to think about the heritage that must have been lost for good. I'm also a big Jap car fan and was distraught at all the classic motors that went in the scappage scheme.

I would be in Lancaster Cycling Club about 1963 but I can't remember any names, would need a prompt. Got two medals somewhere one for 25m t/t and one for evening tens.

To be honest it died with a little help from me, I was that sick of it being so slow I threw the bloody thing across the room and when I took it in to see if anything could be done the hard drive was rattling and was told that it would be very expensive to extract anything from it.
