Got the above for sale, no pics yet... Condition is okayish, bearings from memory are good, straight with no dings, hub labels/graphics a bit faded, usual mavic sticker peel on edges. They are filthy, could do with a strip and rebuild to get them properly clean. £40 collected, as I'm rubbish...

I have shed-envy...

I enjoy the ownership of a collection, wether it's built or not. Take a box of rear mechs off the shelf and rummage through, or sort through some NOS grips or brake blocks. The building is the calming side of the ownership - bringing the parts together in some order or unison, like collecting...

GT85 and a non scratch scouring pad, a kitchen sponge with a green pad on it. The rims were just wiped over with a rag. To be fair the bike was really clean when I picked it up.

Why upgrade? Just get out and ride it! STX is good usable stuff, cranks and rear mech will be a little heavy compared to higher end stuf, more steel than aluminium. Wheels look good, new tyres, saddle is a bit battered. Take it for a spin, you'll know after that what it'll need.

Been fiddling around with this off and on for the last few months, in between work, family and DIY. Decided that the STX stuff was washed out by the frame, and it also wasn't doing anything for the nickel finish either. So swapped out the STX hubs with LX, and have decided to go black LX...

One box arrived with me on Tuesday, waiting for another willing participant to shout - no Tange Strut parts in this one I'm afraid. @baron von greenback are you interested?
