hi folk,
maybe this topic has been discussed before but I recently discovered that my Shimano 105 rear der. is a 1056 model. as I understand it the 1056 is an 8spd der, an upgrade from the 7spd 1055.
I have also acquired some 8spd shifters. do I just simply need an 8 cog freewheel and im good...
Re:
Bike looks lovely jonny.
Much prefer it with the cut down drops, looks a lot cleaner. Are you considering getting some aero brake levers or just sticking with the brakes you've got?? It looks like a bit of a stretch to grab the levers.
How do you find using the shifters while your tucked...
So with summer fast approaching I'm looking to make a few upgrades to my Carrera vanquish. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a carbon road fork, or tell me what to avoid. I've seen carbon forks on eBay for as little as £40 but you get what you pay for which is why I've given myself a budget...
Re:
Bike is ready, picking it up from LBS on my way to work tomorrow morning. LBS have set it up so the front mech will shift between 28/38 although the chainring bolts aren't narrow enough to remove the 48t......is it possible to get narrower chainring bolts??
I can't wait to take it for a ride.
Re:
Your probably right there mattr. The only real reference point I had was my road bike which has a 12cm stem. The RSP stem on the diamondback is 11.5cm.
I guess only time and a few decent rides will let me know if it's the right setup.

I've spent the last few months acquiring the various parts needed to do a drop bar conversion of my Diamondback Ascent and now that Christmas is out of the way it's time to fit them.
The plan is to build I guess the go anywhere, do anything machine. A bike that can take the trails (in the...
Re:
 you found that at the tip?? WOW
I'll have to pop down to mine one day and see if they'll let me have 'owt bike related or sell me anything.
Love the bike. Never done track riding but since finding out that there is an outside velodrome in York, a mere 20 miles from me, I've been...

One of the problems with being a chef is your always thinking of costings and gross profit........in other words I'm a tight arse!!
One of the good things about being a chef is there is plenty of hours over the festive period. Will order an alloy one

For the price it seems well worth a punt. Should be here by Monday.
The Pace Rocker looks too complicated for my feeble chef brain to deal with
Near me. I would buy it but I don't think the wife would appreciate a 5th bike in the house. N+1 and all that jazz. Shame there isn't more info on the bike though.
