I went to the dark side and picked up a 2008 Blizzard, the last year of the 853 tubing. I bought a NOS XT 27.00 seatpost only discover the newer Blizzards use a 26.8. I had not thought of reaming it out. I take it the loss of the .02 of metal does not compromise the integrity?

Re: dekerf I have just picked up my Solitaire from getting a repaint by Dekerf. It is a year 2000 that was in rough shape on the paint. Lots of nicks in the frame but no gouges. Chris did a remarkable job on the repaint (Ferrari red) and new decals. I would challenge anyone to pick it out...

In what year did the Bontrager frames go to the 1 1/8" head tube. I realize it would be 'trek" built frame but I imagine it still rides much the original 1" head tube frames?? I have a chance to pick one up at a decent price and having the 1 1/8" head tube is a real advantage in terms of fork...
