I don't agree with you, to my opinion, most of the time, the BoTM is really unpredictable... and sometimes, the #1 choice is quite surprising. It's why I love this contest. But indeed, it's always expensive to find NOS parts, and it's nice to see oldbikes with good state and good quality components.

Here is mine... GT STS-DH bought in a bad state : many scratches on the aluminium, missing bolts and missing specific Deluxe rear shock... It took 2 years to get all the parts working together and have it re-polished and varnished... Longest period was to find a working rear shock : it takes...

Mine worked great too but I loved forks stiff like Wood for xc riding. :lol: Not at all a freeride fork...

I had the same components on different bikes ! Had a Votec C9 for Fork Had a Klein Mantra Race same color Had a Trek Y50 for spinergy carbon wheels... Nice to see your work ! :xmas-big-grin:

Got the same STS lobo in very bad state (used for DH quite long by previous user). I had it repolished, set up with fox air shock rear and White Bros front... It rules now ! But it's a piece of museum now, so I don't ride it a lot ! :wink: You can see photo of it AND history of GT STS on the...
