    Re: This is a fine thread resurrection. My Smoke 29er: only the frame, P2 fork and headset are original... SLX 2X10, XT V brakes, Mavic rims laced to Hope hubs, carbon handlebar (to make the nice P2s feel smooth) . I like the retro vibe... One day I'll have the frame painted.

    I've looked quite a bit on line - I knew this site would have some informed suggestions. I'm contemplating getting it for my girlfriend - she hasn't cycled for about 15 years, and we quite fancy bikes to use along the river Thames - there's a lovely pub that takes an hour and a half to walk...
