    Cycles Gemini by Henri Depierre

I've finally finished the newer of these two so maiden run out this morning. The older one is coming together before I break it back down again to restore the frame. So a couple of quick pics of the finished Gemini and I will take some better pictures when I can get some time. The geometry of...

    1976 Crustnalgo Super - a project

A really nice job. From the start point of a crusty mess to a resplendent shiny thing. Definitely a great rescue and enjoy the admiring looks you're going to get when out riding it.

    1976 Crustnalgo Super - a project

One of the Gemini frames I bought recently had the same crankset on it and I now need to find a project to use it on, although its in need of a pretty deep polish

    Cycles Gemini by Henri Depierre

Just a little update on this one. I've decided I'd go with modern (for me anyway) brifters as I do want to use this one, so currently its Campag 9 speed but with an many period other bits as I can. Anyway pretty poor photo of progress so far as the light was fading yesterday but bar tape...

    BMW Williams F1 Roadbike

Nice to hear. I still have mine and I'd love to see a picture of your forks as I'm not convinced mine are original. Value wise that's a how longs a bit of string question as where you live seems to have a huge bearing when it comes to the value of 2nd hand bicycles, so its really more a question...

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

Their the ones I enjoy the most, the ones that make me think. The ones that are just paint and reassemble don't give me the same satisfaction.

    Cycles Gemini by Henri Depierre

I understand the head tube angle was a speciality of the M. Depierre, he designed his frames for high speed stability in descents

Yes I'm quite taken with them both and in the Avian apartments yes but not this time of year

    Cycles Gemini by Henri Depierre

I have been away from these pages for far too long, work and the general pressures of life have taken up far too much of my time pretty much since the end of Covid and I've spent too little time simply fettling bicycles and posting details of my exploits on these pages. But a recent trip to...

    Sid Mottram Build

Hello That's interesting, these things are always difficult to get to the bottom of with such little info but I must admit I'd discounted it being a Mercian frame from that period as I understood it would have 5 digits rather than 4 in the frame number?

    Making plans for Nigel

I like the idea of differing colour cable outers, never thought of that before but I think it would be more effective with Shimano rather than Campagnolo brifters and I had the pale blue to hand for this one, I might end up doing that on another build though.

Not at this stage but you never know, most builds are in flux in my bike shed anyway.

    Making plans for Nigel

Thanks for all the suggestions but in the end my inner magpie won and I went with the shiny Campy Veloce group because I still think that 600 kit just looks drab in comparison. With a bike of this vintage I don't really think too much black and grey looks right, there's too much black and grey...
