You've got the concept correct. As you extract the bolt, it's shoulder presses against the insert to force the arm off. But ..... If the reason you're having issues it that the arm is seized, then you should remove the ring so that the bolt can be removed independently. Then use a proper arm...

Anyone know how to date the bontrager frames from the early 90's? I just bought one and it doesn't look to have any stamping at all. Also appears to have had new decals put on, so they're no help either. Thanks

There you go ...... I stumbled onto the frame and thought it was interesting. While reseaching discovered that it was spec'd with the revolvers, and a largely M900 kit. I had both lying around without a home so I picked it up. The original spec included a zoom stem, black zoom bar and silver...

In spite of tons of searching ... I cannot seem to find images for a 1994 Alpinestars Catalog. Specifically, I'm trying to find stock images of the CR D735. I picked up a frame and would like to get a look at the original fork and stock build ...... Anyone have a scan or know where one might...

That seems about right. I went after an area on the underside of the downtube with some steel wool. At first it gets cloudy looking, but once the clearcoat is off the finish polishes very nicely. I noticed that all the worst corroded spots ended up being the brightest areas after going over...

Here are a couple of pics ......... It actually looks pretty good from a distance, but when you get close up it has some issues. Any suggestions?
