What Raleigh did I buy

Dirt Disciple
My last nice bike got stolen (Council hangar with with two d locks so probably a pro job). I dont have the space for two bikes indoors so I dropped a ton on this to commute and if someone takes it more fool them

I have no idea what model it is, the seller wasn't very helpful and actually got the wheel size wrong. They also have sprayed over the frame number as I can see it on the bottom like I usually can

My best guess its a mid late 70s based on the rear derailleur so 20-30 hi ten steel

Also the hub spacing is unusual, the front is 95 and it seems the back has been stretched from 120. I will get some alu wheels so I can stop safely on any wet commutes, and theyll pay for themselves after a couple of weeks commuting instead of the tube. Any info would be great thanks!

The slightly tucked under, or is it just the the pics? Forks are a concern and now having read the 95 spacing……..

reminds me of one I was given a few years ago. Will drag out pic. Low end but perfectly useable subject to checking the above.

Thanks, slightly tucked under what? Probably my expert photography skills

The 95 spacing is not so unusual on older bikes (Sheldon says it's 96mm so it must be)

I had an old Raleigh with that spacing, it meant I needed to use a front hub to suit, maillard I think I used.

Coincidentally………

Here's my own fork picture. Looks slightly off line? Also I should find a frame number under this paint job? The guys at freeman cycles have got some hubs that will fit the strange dimensions, great customer service. Also what is the mount on the right hand fork for?

looks like a sprite but the downtube shifters are a bit of an oddity for a flat bar.
don't think you are going to find a frame number under that paint either. :(

mount of the right fork leg is for an ever ready light.
