Hi.

Selling my Shand cycles converted Cindercone to fund the purchase of a smaller steel frame.

Its had a rear disk tab added with a reinforcing strut between the stays. The old Canti bosses are removed also. A couple of minor dents have been filled with brass too. The frame currently has no seatstay bridge as the original one was crooked and I wanted a new one put in. I was planning to send it back to Shand for this and also to have some hose guides brazed on. Hes quoted me about £25 for this.

The frame currently has no paint but has been oiled up to protect it. I have a set of brand new period decals ready for it too.

When I got this frame I always thought it was an 18". It was only when I started hanging parts off it that I realized its a little bigger. Thats he only reason for selling. If it was 18" or even 17" there's no way I'd get rid of it after all this!

All in its cost me so far:

£40 for the frame off eBay
£50 for frame mods (this includes postage to Scotland from the south)
£15 or so for Decals from Gil_m (cant remember exactly).
Plus the cost of a pair of Hope hose guides and some Skull guides for the seatstay.

Sale includes:

Hope hose guides.
Skull shaped zip-tie seatstay guides.
Decals.
Modified Kona seatpost clamp'
Gold bottle cage bolts.
Headset not included

Really all this frame needs is a new seatstay bridge and a coat of paint.

It would be nice to recoup some if not most of my outlay on this frame so asking around £80 posted in the UK. Offers welcome :)

➡️ Swaps for 18"or 17" Steel Kona or Voodoo frame also welcome. Other steel frames considered too.

294 views in 33 hours! Not bad. No offers though...

Am I asking too much for a frame that needs work doing? I bet if the brace was done and it was freshly painted this would go in no time. Or its a conspiracy cos you all want me to finish it

I am open to offers so don't be shy, post 'em up! :)
