My girlfriend has, quite out of the blue, decided that she'd like to start riding to keep fit. Marvellous. However, I now need to source her a bike that won't be so heavy / unwieldy / ugly that it puts her off. So, what have you got? The budget's £250, and she's 5' 4" tall.
Ideally I'm after something with a bit of functioning front suspension just to take the edge off things - we won't be doing anything particularly hardcore. Doesn't necessarily have to be retro; anything mid-90s onwards would be fine I guess.
