Bit of a hasty bid put on this one
Boone Ti Cassette, described as mint. Don't the bottom cogs looks knackered?
What do you think experts?
Cheers
Carl

I would expect to see wear mostly on the larger cogs. Could it be a weight saving feature? as the cogs are only used in one direction the non chain pulling sides of the teeth have been shaved down to save weight. Just a thought

look worn to my untrained eye - if you think about when a cassette slips it's usually in the higher gears (6/7/8th) and they're slipping as the chain can't get a great purchase on them as it skips over worn teeth - worn into that 'breaking wave' shape. Although it's interesting the 7th gear the 'wear' points the other way - is it on the right way round?

Only real way to find out is to try them with a new chain, you'll know straight away!

Full compliment of single speed cogs :D just turn them round

All the above pictures seem to be very similar to my Action Tec cassettes, which are NOS. The rear of the tooth should have the shallow slope, and the sharper angle will be on the drive side of the chain link. I think you have the sprockets the wrong way around. They are designed with a shark tooth profile from memory of Boone stuff.

that would make sense as if that way round they would catch and cup the links nicely, rather than the other way around where they would skip over the teeth.

andy... aka... mistermonkeywrench has a set of these that I saw at the Big dirty weekend ride.. cant remember if the profile was the same but andy might take a photo for you to compare... ;) :)

Oooo...excellent...thanks chaps.
Not sure what I am going to do with them yet....were going on XC Pro before I realised the freehubs are different to Shimano ones
