Cannondale Force 40 canti hangers?

Don't forget that Cannondale realized how crappy these things were and begain selling "Half-Pipe" cable hangers for their frames, through dealers, to folks who wanted a more normal cable routing. Half-Pipes were Cannondale parts, and bolted to the Force40 mounting stud as a direct replacement to the F40.

I've got a Force40 on the front of my Beast, just for kicks, but the rear brake is a legit hanger... My 'Oh Crap' insurance, if you will...

Just a thought.

I've got only one, and I'm holding on to it, but I'll snap a picture. There are other similar little doodads that do the same thing and are more readily available, but if you want the Cannondale part, I'll get you a pic.

The Force 40 serves as a cable hanger and carrier if you are using a Headshock. Your choices become more limited.

That's where the Half-Pipe comes in. Mounts to the same point as the F40 and acts as a housing stop. I forgot to take a picture but any bolt on cable stop does the trick. No Voodoo needed.

For example... Uglier than a Half-Pipe, but same function.

Interestingly, as utahdog2003 and yourself have been talking about self energising brakes, and how Suntour prohibited a front version, well sjs cycles (Thorn) used to use a Force 40 on their tandems sometimes so that they could mount a SE rear canti on the back of the forks !

I have seen that, on early trials bikes anyway, never on a tandem, but it makes sense.
