MBA bike test review wanted..."Topo Bike"

Back about 15 years ago, in the early 90's sometime, Mountain Bike Action did a test of a custom steel hardtail with a wild custom USGS style topographic map paint scheme. The bike also featured an eyeball shaped cantilever cable hanger from the same manufacturer. I've got a hankering for a topo map paint job and I wanted to get a gander at that article one more time before I pulled the trigger. My subject bike is below...a 1992 Yokota Yosemite Columbus OR (with nifty cable routing noodles around the seat stay cluster), and my plan is to strip it and paint it up like a topographic map, showing features from Yosemite National Park, like El Cap and Half Dome etc as topographic relief. I make maps for a living so I thought it'd be a cool juxtaposition between what I have to do with my time and what I want to do with my time! And for those not familiar with a USGS Topo Quad map, in detail they look like this...

Any help finding me the MBA article of the older topo bike would be appreciated. 8)

Psycle Works maybe, but Wild Hare was full suspension, and this was a rigid steel frame as I recall. :?

the topo map frame i've seen was bright yellow, alu hardtail with matching forks.

That rings a bell...maybe the same one. If you've got a scan that would be great, or even an issue date or number and I can do the legwork. 8)

Think there was a pair of forks in ebay watch a while back

Anybody have any luck with finding the Psycho Cycles bike test from MBA in their magazine stash? I only kept my Dirt Rags, and now I'm kicking myself...

...and you know, for some strange reason, most online Periodical Services dont handle back issues of MBA!
