time to start selling the frames that i'm not going to use :cry:

freshly painted by triple s in bingley.paint is a lot darker than the pictures,much more like original dark yellow/mustard colour
decals are also a lot darker than the pictures.
631 is an original nos decal
forks are onza ( i think) very light,strong, nice forks.i've used these forks on a couple of builds and they ride great

I understand we are not meant to comment on price but that is very strong money for a Kilauea frameset.

I can personally vouch for the quality of TripleS powdercoating, it is very very good but it isn't the original paint. It might be good to post up pics of the frame before the powdercoating to prove it's condition and what model it was, always gives some reassurance to any potential buyer.

Also the forks look fantastic but again they aren't P2's which most people would want with a Kona.

Sorry for the comment but I just don't want you being disappointed if it doesn't sell.
 
Hi rob, fully understand what you're saying and I agree,it is strong money but even at 240 I'm losing money but I'm open o offers.im not really expecting it to sell but I'll try for a week or so then it's going in the loft which is a shame as it looks great.i don't have any pictures of it before powdercoat but its definitely a 97/98 Kilauea .i also need to shift the explosif frame but I'm in the same boat as it owes me more than its worth,looks like my loft will be filling up in the next couple of weeks :lol:

The problem with respraying (yours cost at least £50 if done at TripleS) and decals (£28 from Gil?) is that you never get your money back on the cost of the refurbishment. Original paint and decals, unless absolutely knackered, always make a frame worth more than with a repaint. Get a frame painted for yourself, but never to sell on!

For example I sold my Rocky Mountain F&F for about £100 less than it cost me an I got a good price for it.

Hope you sell it for a price you are happy with anyway.
