1998 Kona Kilauea

So I have a 1998 Kona Kilauea 19" in the garage gathering dust. It is in almost original spec. (http://www.klassickona.com/oldgold/98bikes/kilauea.html), I have owned the bike since new and I have all of the supporting paperwork, including the original bike shop hanger card!

I believe that the only changes are the wheels and saddle. They have been replaced by:
Front: Hope hub with Mavic 217 rim
Rear: Shimano LX or XT (Parallax) hub with Mavic 217 rim
Saddle: Selle Italia Flite

I even have the original Kona Break and Enter tyres that are practically unused.

I can count the number of times the bike has been off-road and got properly dirty on one hand. The bike has done maybe 1500 miles in total. There are a few very light marks on the frame and some cable rub.

I'll happily post pictures if people are interested.

Is there a market for Kona's in this condition, should I take my luck on the Bay, or split for parts?

Thoughts welcome.

I got my 1998 18 inch Kilauea frame for $200 shipped last March on US ebay. A few small paint chips.. The auction picture wasn't that great, maybe if you take good pictures.. and show how mint it is.. you could get more.

I would sell the Break and Enter tires separately...

Of course there is amarket for these things, you're on a website that does a huge trade in 2nd hand bycicles

Parts will get your more, but is more hassle

otherwise, nice looking kona

you'll get the most for this if you put it on Ebay. Despite not being in the right thread I'd say you could get anything from £3-400 with a decent wind.

Very nice indeed, would be in the market for the frame, if I didn't already have one waiting to be built up (not found any decent forks yet).
