Goldfingers bike - very rare

At least he has reduced it from last month’s starting price of £5k or was it £10k. I'm sure someone will correct me soon enough.

Realistically, probable value £250-400 tops. I hope he doesn't read this.

So what's the story behind this then?

Carbon bars and detailing on the chainring and clearly OE gold kit.

Would have been a bit special, if a little 'bing', in the late 80's no?

10k. It's a real bargain now :)

Seen this or one like it before.

Maybe he bought one of those DIY gold-plating kits off QVC.

Obviously got bored after doing his bath taps and the badge on his Lexus

Big thread elsewhere about this. Seller joined asked for value and promptly placed on eBay at a stupid price, failed unsurprisingly to sell and now relisted at slightly less but still stupid price.
I actually think it's worth in the region of £400-£450 but then I am a bit of a fan and it's a crappy listing too for the money he wants with awful pictures. It's a later year too 1989 for sure as the 88's had regular but fastback stays with the wishbones coming along in 1989 it also has the distinctive '89 crackle paint.

Also listed in the 1989 catalogue: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24047

Will need to get Rich to scan it now.

Carl.
