Sorry John, back to the topic of the thread – like the new sticker, nice, clean, simple.
Don't dis helvetica guys. It's the retro typeface of choice. Made in 1957 (so definitely old-school), used for road signs in most countries, tasked with making Ford's late '90s advertising look cool. An icon font of the modern age. And immortalised on the silver screen by legendary art-house film maker Gary Hustwit – I ask you, how can half a billion graphic designers the world over be wrong???![]()

I was in Merlin cycles the other day and notice they have some lovely customised Lizardskin chainstay protectors for their bikes with www.merlincycles.co.uk printed on them. I know these are not especially retro parts but they are extremely good and useful pieces of kit, especially as finding a replacement chainstay protector isn't that easy. What do you think?
Here is a link to the Lizardskin custom page if you find this idea interesting:

Chainstay protector. Hmmm. Patient you must be![]()
Thanks for bigging up the font too. The design is Wu's so all credit must go there. He's a trendy London media type after all, whereas I most certainly am not.
