I bought this frame ages ago with the intention of building a single speed hack about, this was until I delved into it's history. I bought it from eBay USA because I'm a big fan of the Joe Murray geometry, it was advertised as a one off sample made from Columbus Foco tubing. I was sceptical but the price was good so I bid and won. When I received the frame I was really please with how light it is at around 1.7/1.8 Kg, not bad for steel. I was interested in finding out how true the 'one off' claim was so I contacted Voodoo cycles and entered into correspondance with none other than Joe Murray himself! After sending him quite a few pictures he confirmed that it was indeed one of his designs and said that Voodoo often had samples made in other tubing when looking to spec for a model year.
Anyway the frame is a 19.5" (centre to top of seat tube) and has a 1 1/8" head tube. The dropouts are of the Ritchey cast variety, very neat and small. And the frame is for v-brakes. Don't know the exact age but Joe Murray estimates it as being around '98/'99. The most unique feature of the frame is the 'coffin shaped' down tube which you should be able to see in the pictures.
Further dimensions are as follows:
Seat tube is centre to centre is 16.5"
Top tube is 22.5" centre to centre
Looking for £175 posted (UK, overseas please get in contact for revised postage price).
