Got a rather nice karma frame from letmetalktomark (thank you) with a stuck seatpost - I joked that the post would fall out on the way to mine.

Anyway - never surrender! A moment of inspiration and a precut seat post resulted in:

Good thinking if you have either a 31.8 seat tube or a steel post stuck in a 28.6. I have a 27.0 O-Beam stuck in a 28.6 tube and the walls of the O-Beam are 3mm thick, leaving an aperture of 21mm which is 1mm too small for a '1 inch' quill. Hmmmm

I knew there must have been some reason why I didn't think of this one myself!

look for a 21.1mm stem - they dow exist ( have one suitable and spare if required)
