Hmmm...

Is that the same Century company that make awesome carbon fibre fishing rods? The font and style of the decals is identical.

no, as the writing on the downtube tells us its a "miyata" aka "koga miyata".

Never heard of the 'Century' company, but yes, I do understand why one could suspect ties due to some resemblance in the script.

I know Shimano does something with fishing equipment, but this other Japanese company 'Miyata' has nothing to do with fishing.

Miyata supplied frames to Koga-Miyata. They are different companies. Miyata, a very large Japanese bicycle manufacturer that started building bicycles in 1890. They were a rivel manufacturer originally.
Koga-Miyata founded in 1974 has its base in Heerenveen, The Netherlands. Initiated to serve high end segments in the market. They used Japanese made Miyata frames untill 1995. Officially the current frames are made under supervision of Miyata, elsewhere.

No plans to build it up yet, but sure that will happen. 1st a Phoenix to finish
