27.0 kona seatpost = what collar?

Hey guys,

I recently had Brother's 97 f.mountain off him which has a 27.0 post.

Can anyone tell me what seatpost clamp this takes? 28.6? 30.0?

I need one of those cyclocross types with the integrated cable stop as I want to run canti brakes ....

My steel frame is 29.8mm clamp.

Yep, 29.8 or 30mm is what you want.

I'm running a 30.0 Salsa flip-lock on my 92 Explosif (which takes a 27.0 post)--fits perfectly.

careful if using a 30.0 Hope clamp on a 29.8 frame (or just replace the alu bolt & nut with steel)

Awesome! Thanks guys, I had a cotic Roadrat that took 30.0 .. When I sold the bike I gave the clamp away to a mate figuring as I'd never need it again :roll:

sorry to hijack the thread but my question is related,

wil i be able to use a 27.2 seat post in a 97 kona designed for a 27.0 only nice and reasonable 27.0 seatposts are a bit rare where as the world is full of 27.2 it seems
