Had this for sometime now in the fleet but not found time to spend with it unfortuately until recently. I rode it to work a couple of years back, 20 miles, and since then it's sat still. Last weekend I took it out for about 15 miles on road and gentle tracks, it was great.

Since I bought it I've been keeping an eye out for the correct tires for it and finally got some this week, some real minters too! So finally here it is, apart from grips I think, it's as original spec, other than the grips and tires it is all original I believe.

Re:

That's Lovely, I hadn't realised what tyres you needed though. I managed to find a couple of sets a long time ago, and kept them back for builds..

I remember drooling over the MBUK add for these lovely Ti Ridge Backs bitd when they 1st came out and i'm sure they had a frame only option so thanks for sharing your little beauty 8) as you've re ignited the old urge to want one again  .

Re:

Can the Merlin experts out there tell me,
is this the exact same frame Kona decalled up and called their own?
If so, how many others did this as well?

Re:

That was the question I was going to ask as well Roy. It looks almost if not identical. Proper lovely.

Yes i'm pretty sure i read about this on one of the other forum topics a while back Roy because i think i remember one of the members commenting to another member that his Ti Kona wasn't a true Kona due to it originating from Madison and Kona had basically nicked this off Madison and claimed it as their design if i recall correctly ...
