I also just called up my friend who works for Trek and it just so happens that he owns a bunch of original Klein headset bearings. I asked him how much he wanted for a set and he said $20 will do. I'm in like flynn.

I hammered out the headset bearings and put in the new ones. Unfortunately the head badge fell off when I was hammering away so I need to figure out a good glue to get it back on securely. I'm not completely sold the grips I mounted but I'll see how they look when everything is set up.
