Sounds like a hefty beast - any pics?
Yes - the bars aren't your usual titanium 118's or the like - they're serious hefty downhilling beasts - ti doesn't always mean light - it does however usually mean strong and good vibration-dampening though.
I used to have a 118 bar with a no-name brand ti stem which came in at less than half the weight of these bars alone. Now I have a pair of these bars with a Litespeed stem and I feel much safer on my way down the red route in Glentress. Depends on your application really.
And whether you empty your bowels before your ride - you could lose a lot more weight that way.
Pretty sure they're still available by the sound of it.

I'm not into racing anymore, I just prefer to go at my own pace nowadays and enjoy myself; so the time I used to spend weighing everything is now spent riding.
