Would anyone like to purchase this lovely freewheel off me please ?

Has it got a numerical inscription anywhere? if not, I guess a quick try on a British hub would confirm...

if it's British thread i'll take it off your hands...french or Italian thread (did Sachs do Italian?) then it'd be no use to me.
 
There are some numbers on the inside of the block but aren't related to what the threads are!

I'll take my freewheel off my bike and try it and if it fits I'll let you know,
be tomorrow now though, do you want actual photo's of it so you know
what you are thinking of buying ?

I live in Mansfield Woodhouse by the way and not in Nottingham as it says on my avatar!!

Don't you just love components that offer no help like in this instance!! If you don'y mind trying it on a wheel and you can confirm it's British & if it's unused & 8-speed and looks something like the ebay link you posted then that'll do for me.

Am at work tomorrow so I won't be able to respond until I get home (4ish) so if you can let me know that would be top drawer. Will see if postage is easiest, if not, Woodhouse isn't too far so am sure we can sort something in that regard.
 
Morning all,

Ian, if you have a English BB cup try it in the freewheel - that should tell you what it is. My top is - thread it gently to ensure it comes off should it not be English.

Good idea Richard! Wished I'd looked and read before I'd just taken my wheel off my old Raleigh....lol

Fitted straight on to my Campag' hub which is English threaded so it must be English.

'Finney1973' have a look at the below pictures of my actual freewheel, any good to you ??
