Ok the package has grown so you get:

- Frame and forks.
- Stem and handlebars 5mm scuff on the stem! Grrr happened tonight!
- XT headset used but good.
- Mint XT QR seat clamp new with the build.
- Mint XT band on front mech.
- Marin Strong original seat post.
- All the spare decals of which there are a few!
- Shimano UN** BB new with the build.

All that for just £250 collected or £265 posted!

If I can get the grips off in one piece I will throw them in too Ritchey foam hex ones...if for any reason you wanted the XT STI shifters/levers I would like £40 for those. (And it would save me the ball ache of getting them off!)

PM me with any questions

Doug

Oh and click on the build thread in my sig for pics

Re: Swap 1991 Marin Team frame, forks stem and bars XT headset

Good luck with your search Doug as you deserve it after all the time and effort you put into the build mate ;) ..

Re:

Hope you find what you want mate. Real shame with this one as it's been such a great project and thread.

Know what you mean about sizing. I'm 6'2" and my mates 17.5 91 Pine Mountain fits well, where as my old 90 Eldridge in the same size felt miles too small. I think my 90 Pine Mountain will also feel small but I'm not too bothered as it'll get admired more than ridden!

Yeah at nearly 6ft 4 I guess I have always been kidding myself! Just it is such a beaut it was hard to say no...maybe I'll just keep it to look at!

Re: Swap 1991 Marin Team frame, forks stem and bars XT headset

I have my Raleigh Ravine at 19" and my FireMountain at 18" and tbh the Raleigh feels a lot lot bigger but tbh it's only in the reach that i feel the difference and not the height and i'm 5ft 11" but if i'm honest i believe a slightly longer and lesser rise handlebar stem on the Kona would improve things ..

Re:

Doug my brother, can't be easy to part with but, the boot must fit, or there will be blisters!

I hope a 19" comes your way soon as i know this model is your bag. although your next birthday cake may have to be altered..wink..

If you don't get the right fork with the new frame, i have some rockstar spinners from 1991 in that size 183mm steerer length, the 17.5" has 153mm if i have it right.
I will see about having them pink coated up here and send 'em down.

good luck mate.

Mate I am still unsure about it...But I want to ride it more, and in my aging years I need a better fit that doesn't kill my back on longer rides. I don't hold out much hope of finding a 19". It took me years to find this one! Thanks again for your help and heres to hoping for a larger frame!
