PACE RC100 - 19inch full bike

Hi there,

After a change of career and a financially, spatially and time-sappingly difficult year, I'm having to sell off quite a large proportion of my bike fleet, including three Paces. The first is this, a slightly strange / unique RC100 that has left a bad taste in my mouth:

After being royally shafted by an untrustworthy ebay seller and a 'fantastic' ebay customer services, I was landed with this 'frankenpace'. Maybe I'm not selling it very well, but it's often hard to look at something after it has given you so much grief, even if it's no fault of the object in question! That aside, it is quite a special and unique bike that has the perfect partner somewhere out here (possibly here).

Anyway, cut to the chase, I need space, money and time, so this is the first of my fleet to go.

I would like to sell this as a full bike, as I simply don't have the time to work on it, so please don't ask for splits for now. I'm not in a rush to sell it and would like it to go to a good home (as all paces should!)

All of the faults that I have uncovered are listed on the thread above, otherwise the bike is very tidy. The frame is in good condition, wheels smooth and straight, brakes cosmetically good and very sharp.

To re-iterate, main problems:

- Fork inners are shot, need new elastomers and service
- Non-drive crank arm taper is shot, doesn't do many more than 10 miles before it wants to fall off (drive seems fine)
- Front mech plate has a a light coating of rust (see pics) as do a few of the bolts.
- Chain has a few rusty spots
- There is no sign of any serial number, which slightly adds to the mystery

Anyway, truth be said, I still think there is a lot of bike here for the money here. I paid £615 for this last year (including a lot of hassle), so would be happy to sell this on for the same. I will of course be open to offers if there is little interest shown.

If you have any questions about the spec please drop me a message, though most should be clear from the photos and the thread above (note the Royce BB strangeness). Please note, I'm more of an RC200 man (F8's on top of that), so don't know a huge amount about this vintage.

Price: £615 O.N.O

(if you're looking for an RC200 watch this space)
