Stupid question but is this just a standard SRAM/Shimano locking ring? And is it actually Salmon or is it more of a red in person?

No stupid questions concerning this bijoux of exotica extraordinaire. As there's been a few questions asked:

- it's an after market replacement for the steel Shimano from mid-90s. No doubt it will work with SRAM, and no
doubt it will add an extra 5 mph to speeds and decrease your heart rate at the same time. A double whammy.
- it's the smaller diameter for 11 tooth. An 11 tooth bottom sprocket is essential for going down Mt Mammouth.
- every effort was taken to capture the brilliance of colour. The actual item is a touch deeper than the photo.
- It's basically a pinky sort of red. I don't eat fish so don't have a salmon in the fridge to compare, but it
seems to match my ruddy cold hands, or alternatively it's a similar colour to sun burnt Brits enjoying a
training camp in Majorca.
