Walking home last night I could not believe that someone had thrown away this frame which caught my eye in a skip! The paintwork has taken a bit of a battering but chrome looks good and the frame seems fine. It also has full Campag Athena gear on it. All needs a good clean and polish and prob repaint the frame but looks like a great find!!

Apart from always wanting a Colnago I do not know much about them so does anyone have any ideas what model this is? I am thinking it may be a Master but this is just based on amateur comparisons.

Re:

Did not notice the fork! I am not seeing the prang. What are you noticing?

Might stick a wheel on it to check.

the fork is bent backwards substantially after an impact , i cannot see any telltale wrinkles behind the headtube so the frame may be ok ? ,but because it has been discarded and its VERY desirable maybe not ??

Re:

Are you saying that you are seeing the forks are bent backwards? I really can't see it and no wrinkles or sign of impact. Put wheels on it now and still looks ok. Your comments above make me think I am missing something

yes, they look bent as plain as day to me , how does a wheel in it change anything unless it hits the downtube ? do you know when colnago switched to straight blade forks ?

Re:

Struggling to see it to be honest sure you know what you ate talking about (me than me). The wheel rolls straight not hitting the frame which is why i thought it was a good test.

Is it because you are seeing the angle of the forks to far back? Out could it just be the shape of the forks?

Re:

I agree with latman the forks defo look bent, they start off straight just below the crown and then start to curve back but we could be wrong....

Take a look at the gap between the front wheel and the downtube and then compare to your picture of the holdsworth.

What a find tho! Who would throw that out....the mind boggles...
