Budget (boing?) build - let's play 'what shall I build'...!!

Right, just about back after a bout of 'flu, completely skint and have sold off a load of stuff. However....

I have a load of bits that I haven't sold as they don't owe me much/anything and as it's so difficult to sell anyway, seemed pointless getting rid. What I've got is decent wheels, a nice set of Bombers, gears for a 1 x 8 set up, brakes, steering, the lot. Everything in fact, apart from a frame to hang it all off....

So what shall I build and what frame shall I get? Would like another full sus rig, but doesn't have to be, but to keep within the 'budget' part of the theme, needs to be:

Cheap as chips, needing no work to pivots/bushes/shock (if indeed it is full sus)
V brake compatible
Take a 68mm BB (because that's what I have and it's a decent new one that fits the chainset I'm using)
Take a 27.2mm or 30.0mm seatpost (again, what I have in the spares)

Just a bit of fun, throw random ideas at me, no one get too serious about it, and if you see something/have something in a small size, post up the link to ebay, etc. No need to be shy. But remember - it's a BUDGET build!!!

I do have a Manitou HT in stunning red which will be up for sale soon either as a frame only or with parts. It's at my sisters in London right now.

But it's like the red one on here, has the same forks and I have a seatpost for it plus a large selection of 68mm shell BB's depending on your needs.

Stop right there! What kind of "budget" did you have in mind??!!

As the OP has a set of Bombers it's a Kona of some sort that immediately springs to my mind, maybe a bit cliched, but they just look "right" together.

Or you could go the opposite way and pimp out a Raleigh Activator 2, I've seen one near me for £30, now that's budget!
Shame that shipping it would cost more than the bike given the weight of the thing

I'll keep an eye out for you...

Re:

Ha ha, thanks all for ideas/suggestions so far.

Tim, not keen on something like the Mani, don't want cracks in a few weeks time

Kiki, should also have said - don't want steel, have the Breezer for that, so actually a play bike based around an alu jumps frame would work too. (Little Kona has gone to a better home, had a jumps bike frame but didn't like the SS drop outs as want gears and no back wheel movement)

Jimo, yep could fancy a Kona jumps frame or better still a Stinky!

It has cracked once but fixed and been fine since ;)

I do have an RTS-2 going spare also, problem being its 20"!

I've never ridden a full sus Kona but reckon A Stinky would be ideal and perfect for the Bombers.

Re:

Might reluctantly have what you're looking for. Full sus, 27.2 post 16" centre to top. Chipped paint in metallic blue from '95, but all pivots good and seems to be a low mileage frame due to bits, including tyres, all being original with minimal wear, but years of storage! :-D

Re:

Is it a..............??

Hmm, intrigued now, thinking maybe Amp B3 or Sex One....whatever it is, will it take 100mm of travel up front though? And is it cheap?!
