A little secret guilty pleasure I had hoped to keep quiet for a bit longer, I know I'm probably going to be outed as a suspension luddite but I love softride. Both of these are in pieces at present in differing states of build. Mostly xt parts are going on my dec 12th birthday bike, the 1998 version, and shiny extra parts are due for my litebeam for Christmas, and yes if you must know it is a wee bit small. It now sports a softride stem and highjacker seatclamp, logic forks, brakes and levers. A pair of Ritchey rizers and some barends are a must.
I'm sorry the photos aren't better but I'm stumped by even the simplest piece of modern technology. Will update soon fish..

Re:

I can remember the first ones and they are a great example of the idea soup splashing around in the early 90's but who still thought it was a good idea by 1998?

Is that full Olympus on that Ritchey Al?I see the Shimano sticker but the crank looks Campag.

Yeah like all my bikes they got specced with what ever I liked the look of at the time... the hubs were Campag too.
