What do people make of these, recommend any good ones?

I've just spent 20 minutes watching a build video where, amongst other things, they use a vernier caliper to set the distance between the chain ring and front mech

I like watching them. Not so much to comment on how precise they build it but I just enjoy watching something restored or built back up.

One thing for me that makes it more enjoyable are all the small clicks and ticks as they put tools onto the work bench, tighten things. I'm a bit of a sucker for some bike ASMR

Why do that when it's a range.
Nutter, if you can't guesstimate 2 to 3mm, aka a bit of a gap, then why build a bike. Especially with how useless front mechs are at being accurate.
