Wheels are Normandie competition, brakes are Weinman 730, friction shifters and mechs are Suntour, cranks are square taper, cogs are a Shimano 6 speed, gear cables run OVER the BB shell using half-moon steel guides, rear drop-outs are 126mm with no sign of spreading. Oiling plug tapped into BB.

Head tube badge is metal "wave" style, Viking Wolverhampton.

Welcome to the forum. Pictures would help to identify which model. Being 6 speed and 126mm likely to be late 70s to mid 80s.
