What size retro road frame do you ride?

Retro Guru
Evening all,
Is there a good guide for picking the correct size retro road frame based on height/inside leg/ crank to top tube measurements?

Lockdown has made me drift from retro MTB to retro road and I have picked up a few projects with frames between 21" - 23"

I am just about 6 foot with a 33" inside leg and am thinking that.......

21" too small
22" ok (giving a more upright seating position)
23" probably about right

What are your sizing thoughts?

Cheers Rich.

For you 22<23 seems right. My tailor made frame for the same measurements as yours, came out at 22.5 inch.

It's all adjustable via seat post and stem length anyway.
In terms of sitting on it and pootling around you are correct.
If wanting to do some hard core riding, something the wrong size will handle badly, especially descending

With my 35" inseam I prefer 25" frames (C-T) for a comfy French fit:

I ride 24" as well, but the resulting saddle-to-bar drop is beginning to make me feel old: :(

I was really referring to within the 22<23 size range

i ride a 55-56cm top tubed frame. The resulting seat tube size is coincidental and not the prime measurement
