Wes Mason 531 road bike 1976 56cm

A classic hand built lugged steel race frame made from 531 (56cm c-c) from 1976 when Wes Mason set up on his own making frames in Harrogate after his split from MKM. Built up with very high quality Campagnolo parts mainly Record and Nuovo record of the same period, the only modern addition is the 36 hole Mavic open pro rims which have not seen much use.

It has a Cinelli bar and stem combo, what I'm told is a very rare tapered 27.2mm Campagnolo seatpost that they only made for one year. The Aero Campag brakes are later 70's I believe. Overall the bike is in excellent condition for its age with only a few slight chips to the paint work which just add to the character.

Any questions I will try to answer and it would be pick up from Newcastle upon Tyne.
Thanks
