Lovely to see this thread ticking along. Here we go ....... a mixed bag that I thought interesting.
An 80s or 90s Motocomfort kitted out.
A nice Pug 80s tourer single ring up front, very popular and would still be up to task roaming around less mountainous areas.
Now we are talking (from a self confessed bike snob). Liberia. Not boutique, but still in that category of a solid well thought out affordable higher end Randonneur. Wonderful condition. Chainstay mount RD, stick shift FD and canti brakes. Oooozes Frenceyness and what it was about.

Something from the 50s.
The moment the bike can't be identified, gear lever is on the top tube, an incomprehensible rear mech, and wine bottle it's game over

It does look all there. It's the cantis and mudguards the deal breaker isn't it?
I know you prefer Guinness to wine, but still it is a nice red wine colour.
The chain guard would have to come off though, and funny and lovely quirky that it looks like the stick shift on the FD was shortened.
