The event is open to bikes that could have attended the original Grundig World Cup. This lasted until the end of the 1998 season. So all bikes must have been built before the 31st December 1998 and...

I am interested but this would be a massive commitment on my part.
Trying to figure out if I should start planning.
Any insight would be appreciated

I'm also looking at this, could be a fantastic retro bike trip for the bikes as much as the races and rides. Personally I'd treat it as a short bikepacking type trip and would camp once there rather than staying at a hotel.

I've never travelled overseas with a bike before, but my preference right now would be to go by train, perhaps a couple of days early so I could stop and enjoy some places along the way, although if anyone was thinking about driving and had room for a passenger plus bike/kit I might be up for sharing fuel costs etc.

It might be fun to think about starting a new project specifically for the event
