Very small steel frame (pref 14" Kona)

Re: Very small steel frame

Why not just up grade all the components on the frame? A lighter wheelset and top end tyres can make a huge difference alone, as can a lighter groupset?
My wife rides a GT Bravado in the small 12.5 size, but has Gen 1 Crossmax, USE XCR-"race" forks (2.4 pound weight) and a lot of Carbon components, she has done some 50 mile plus rides on it and a few trail centre days, no problem.

I would prefer to start with a nicer frame. I know there's nothing wrong with what she has but lets face it, it's not really about her
