LGF, You miss my point (or I am incorrect) I thought all 6061 Zaskars were welded in the states. My point was they quickly got better, the fish scale welding on my '92 is exquisite! Yes penetration is important (isn't it always) but looks should come into it as well (always!)

early ones were USA, after 1996, I no longer have a clue!

I have just looked on my laptop and yes it looks pretty rough welding wise, I think it's the original weld, maybe the photos could be better and also a good polish my help!

Seller got back to me stating that it's had no welding or alterations at all, all original

The seller sent me a photo of serial number it's, 10900501 so October 1990
