Tyres for 1980's Raleigh Sirocco

I'm renovating my father's Sirocco, which is rocking it's original Vredestein amberwall 28x3/4 tyres.
It looks like the modern equivalent is 700x20C. Tyres in this size, which aren't slicks seem few and far between. Will 700x23C fit easily?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

I can't see 700x23 being an issue for either fit or clearance. If you are after something with a tan/amberwall then I've used Veloflex Master 23s - a nice tyre.

Thanks chap. Bit fruity on the price for a bike which won't be used much - help appreciated though. Ended up buying a pair of Schwalbe Lugano 700/23C's.

Re:

Till recently I had a Raleigh Sirocco as well. But to my opinion the original tires were Wolber's W20S Coton 20 mm. I replaced them for 23 cm wwith tires, without a problem.
