Twincab pick up,estate car or van, but which one?

Currently have a Ranger Thunder 04 Plate and it's fairly good. I came with a full history and a rebuilt engine and new turbo at around 100k. It does seem to inexplicably drink water (could be a partially blocked rad or bad cap and more investigation is due in the spring) and it uses a bit of oil it also seem to eat glow plugs. They do break springs and this seems to affect all Mazdas with leafs and ours has an uprated kit on it now. The fuel economy isn't too bad for a 4x4 pickup and no worse than our old 94 L200 double cab. It has lees documented vices than the Navaras of the same age. The engines on those do explode badly and replacements are very expensive becuase of this, but there is a £500 cure for the problem that involves fitting new and uprated big end shells and a new oil pickup seal.
The thing that put us off another L200 was the appauling turning circle (the wife has it day to day) and the expensive insurance, but if it wasn't for these reasons we would have had another.
The Ranger did take us over 1000 miles across europe in the summer with the caravan on the back with minimal fuss and it good comfort too.

Carl.
