Tips to get cycling again

Plan a round about trip somewhere about 10 miles away, maybe a visit to a friend.
when you get up put on the bike gear, bag etc. Wander around the house for a bit then as Ross says. Go out the door.
Remembering of course to take the bike ;)

Peer pressure, that's the kiddie.

I have had nearly eight weeks off the bike and lost a kilo in weight due to illness. Yesterday I finally managed to pull the road bike out for a 14 mile leg stretcher, ahhhh bliss.

If I can do it, you can do it, and if you can't, then you are an albino porpoise.

As the late great Freddy Mercury put it: "get on your bike and ride!"

Plus, it helps to have a circular route so that you can compare ride times and watch for improvements.

Less building more riding. i plan not to build anything new (despite having enough for a couple) until after the HONC in April. Train/ride with a goal. i.e. to get fit for an event you've committed to. works for me... The dark evenings don't help though.

Good luck oh ever increasing wensleydale!
